１ヶ月前、７月１７日、僕はこの家にやってきました。
にぃにがどうしても僕に家族になって欲しかったからです。
Hi, everyone! I became a part of this family one month ago (July 17. 2012). My brother really wanted me to be his younger brother :)
そんなマミーの猫達はみんな２０歳を超えてなんの病気もしないで、
本当にパーフェクトな形でお空へ帰って行ったそうです。
Mommy has lived with cats since she was a child, so she loves kitties :) All her kitties had no diseases, and they all went back to the sky, but they all were over 20 years old!!!
マミーは僕も２０歳を越える迄長生きして欲しいなって思ってるんだって。
Mommy hopes I also live long like all her cats :)
ハワイに引越してきてから３年。
マミーは猫のいない生活がとても辛かったんだって。
だから僕が家族になる事をとっても喜んでくれました。
Mommy was pretty sad since she moved to Hawaii because she has to live without kitties, so she was really happy that I could join her family :D
ダディーはずっと犬と生活してたんだって。
お隣のおばさんの家が留守の時にする猫の世話以外、
猫と接する事はあまりなかったって。
だから猫がどんな風に遊ぶのか想像もできなかったみたい。
Daddy has lived with dogs for a long time. He took care of the neighbor's kitty when the neighbors were away, but otherwise, he really didn't have any experiences with kitties. He couldn't imagine how to play with kitties.
だけど僕が来てからダディーは猫との生活を楽しんでくれるようになったよ。
今はダディーも僕が大好きなんだよ♪
いっぱい一緒に遊んでくれるんだ〜！
それとね、僕ダディーの匂いが大好きで、夜寝るときは必ずダディーの横で寝たいんだ。
But now, he a really good daddy to me, and he enjoys playing with me :) I love daddy too :D He plays with me a lot! Also I really like his smell, so I really want to sleep right next to him.
僕がこの家にやって来たばっかりの頃、体重は１キロなかったんだ〜。
怖い思いを沢山したんで、寝るといつも怖い夢ばかり見て、
途中で叫びながら目が覚めちゃったんだよ。
でもその度に僕のマミーが飛んできてくれて、優しく抱っこしてくれたんだよ。
そうしたらとっても安心できたよ。
When I came here, I was less than 2 pounds. I nightmares for a week, so I always hissed and growled after naps. Every time I woke up from the nap, mommy came over and held me and petted me really gently. I felt really safe in her arms, so I could calm down.
家にやってきて１週間目、高熱がでたんだ。
これもマミーが僕の様子がおかしいのと
触ったときの体温の違いにすぐ気がついてくれたのですぐに治ったよ。
ここでようやく体重１キロ。
毎日、毎日家族のみんなが僕と一緒に遊んでくれて、
いつしか僕が見る夢は遊んでる夢になったんだ〜。
僕はとっても興奮するとプルルルって言っちゃうんだ。
寝ているときも手と足を動かしながらプルルル〜っとお喋りしてるんだって〜。
A week after I came to this home, I got a high fever, but mommy noticed quickly, and my family took me to see the vet, so I felt better soon. I also had a health check up, and I weighed in at 2 pounds :) My family played with me everyday, so my nightmares are gone and I only have dreams about playing with them :D When I get really excited, I make a high-pitched squeaky sound. Mommy said I make this sound and move my paws when I'm sleeping too aha!
朝、にぃにが学校に行って、ダディーがお仕事に行くと、
僕はマミーに抱っこしてもらうんだ。
それから２時間くらいマミーに抱っこされたまま、お昼寝するんだよ。
Every morning, after brother goes to school and daddy goes to work, mommy picks me up and pets me. And I always take a morning nap for 2 hours :)
そうそう。僕言葉少し覚えたよ。ご飯とおやつとミルク。
I've learned a few words: 'food', 'treat', and 'milk.'
今僕は３ヶ月。
体重は１．８キロになったよ。
身長もとっても伸びたんだよ。
I'm 3 months old now. My weight is 4 pounds. I'm taller than before. I'm growing!
僕は家族にたくさん愛されて、とっても幸せ。
I'm so happy with my family's love.
僕、家族になれて本当によかったな。
ダディーも、にぃにはいい子を選んだなって言ってるんだ。
僕、あの日にぃにに出会えて本当によかった！
にぃにがマミーに保護施設へ遊びに行こうって言ってくれて本当によかった！
I'm so glad I became a part of this family. Daddy said my brother and mom made a good choice :) I'm really glad I met my brother that day. I'm so glad that brother asked mommy to go to the humane society.
怖くて椅子の下に隠れていた 僕をマミーが見つけてくれてよかった！
And I'm glad that mommy found me even though I was hiding under the chair because I was scared.
僕を家族にしてくれて、本当にありがとう！

明日はダディーが行ってた高校がある、アメリカ空軍のオフィサーになる為の学校、
エアフォースアカデミーの紹介です！
ちなみにダディーの住んでいたあたりの高校生は、軍人さんの子供とか関係なくこの敷地内にある高校に行くんだそうです。
オフィサーのなる為の学校の中にあるんですが、普通の公立 高校です。
Tomorrow, I'll show you pictures from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. There is a high school on the base, but the school is not only for military families. It's a public school, so people from off-base go to the school, too :)
